CLEMSON, S.C. Christians should refrain from judging others, John Kasich said Thursday, referencing the dispute between Pope Francis and Donald Trump that flared to national prominence two days before the South Carolina primary.
Francis told reporters Wednesday Trump's plan to build a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border is un-Christian, while Trump argued Thursday that it was "disgraceful" for the Pope to question his religion. Kasich told reporters he was unsure of Francis' exact comments and thought the Pope's quote must have been wrong. But, he said, he thinks the Pope would regret it if he had questioned Trump's Christianity.
