[Adapted from What You Take To Heaven]
This is the single greatest key to eternity:
If we love Him with our whole hearts, Heaven encircles us, even now.
The test of life is a test of love.
Everything is love and is about love.
Love is the bridge to our true being.
It is the consonance with His universe -- all Creation.
Look at the devil: a total lack of love.
It is what defines him.
It also defines us.
Cherish others and you will be cherished to the core of your being by God.
"One of the many beliefs I have formed from [my near-death] experience is that whenever unconditional love is bestowed upon an individual, no matter what the strength or from what source (a person or the Light), it causes a purging of 'unloving energy' or self-hating energy to come into the consciousness of the individual to be examined and discharged," said another of those death experiencers. "Thus, the individual's level of consciousness is raised every time this is done."
"It takes a while to distill away some of our attitudes and leave it behind," said a man named David recently on YouTube. "I think we bring some of it with us for a while. When we bring intolerance, it must be distilled. [Is this also why we have purgatory?]
"I took three immediate lessons.
"The first was acceptance, because I saw my entire life and I got to see it through other people's perspectives and in such a way that I understood suddenly who I was and I could accept who I was. I may not be a perfect person, but I could accept that and work on it. And I feel that the acceptance was a big lesson, because with acceptance you can be comfortable in your skin, and in that life review I saw I was pretty brash, didn't have much understanding of other people's points of view, and if you didn't agree with my point of view, I didn't care much for you.
"You weren't much part of my life. In the life review I got to see that there are other people's paths that don't have anything to do with mine and now I have a tolerance I didn't have before because I saw that they may have a path and purpose in life that doesn't necessarily have to agree with mine. We're going to exchange paths, we're going to cross paths, and we're going to interact and many times I may not agree with their personal views or what they're doing or what they want to achieve in life, but that's all right. I think in a lot of life's interactions we need to enjoy the good and the bad.
"There are people who are going to push our buttons and they can be teachers to us. I've learned to accept myself and accept others. When my heart sings I know it is my truth. A lot of us have passions that we repress in life and I think after an experience you tend not to suppress that because it's another indicator of the interaction that we're going through in life and a way to squeeze all the juice from an interaction so that you can learn from it."
