And Heaven after!
There are many ways that God shows Himself to us, usually with exquisite subtlety in the formation of dew, or an intricate crystal of ice, or the surface sculpting of a feather, or how a wound heals itself. There is great concert to the universe and signs all around us when our hearts are open to them.
Often, they are around a corner, unexpected, but flowing with the moment of your thoughts. There is no need to convince others. You know what your spirit knows. The truth is in what God shows your private self.
Beauty comes from truth and truth is in what God fashions (nature). For many, that can be a cloud, as above.
It can be a simple ray of light in a sacred cave, as at the cave dedicated to Saint Michael in eastern Italy (anyone going to Italy should visit this spot, not far from San Giovanni Rotundo), or it can be during a large conference. As Kim Salada of Brockway, Pennsylvania, wrote, "I just wanted to share a beautiful picture and a note of hope for the future: I took a small group from our church to National Catholic Youth Conference in Indianapolis. It was an amazing event, with 24,000 young Catholics on fire for Christ and His Church. What a joy it was to be there! Later the same day that we asked the Blessed Mother to be with us, I took this picture of one of the presenters and immediately saw the Blessed Mother in it, and I wanted to share it with you! Mother Mary so loves her children!"
Our God is a God Who taps us on the shoulders, but so softly that we're not always sure we're being tapped. The rest is left to faith through discernment.
Literally, turn the corner and you may be surprised at the play of your headlights on a tree while you are reciting a Rosary (and praying for everyone you pass).
Take time, even in the snow, to wonder at the complexity of life that only God could orchestrate. Through it He demonstrates eternity; through signs comes consolation.
"My mother Catherine died in 1995," wrote a viewer named Roger [left].
"She was not a Catholic and would describe herself as an agnostic.
"In November 2014 I took a photograph at Our Lady's shrine, Abercynon, in South Wales, UK. In November 2015 I happened to look at the photograph and noticed two orbs of light in the top left corner of the picture also red and blue rays of light (Divine Mercy) in the same area of the picture. I zoomed in on the round orb of light attached to the white oblong of light and noticed the face of a lady smiling back at me. It is the face of my mother Catherine. Her head seems to be covered and small rosary beads can be made out to the left side of her face. I have attached two photos, the original and the zoomed close up photo [second photo at bottom of this article]. I hope you are able to see the image?"
How many signs in our lives -- in what people say, in what we see in nature, in what occurs in our thoughts -- do we ignore?
Head up a road and wonder at the splash of sun at dawn like an angel rising.
Wrote a viewer named Lorelei, of two beams of light, "Sharing with you the email I sent to the pastor of Holy Family Church here in Glendale, California. I went out of my way and attended the Mass on the feast day of the Holy Family last 12/27/15 as my parish is Christ the King Church here in Los Angeles near Hollywood. The window in this church is located at the upper left side of the altar. If those rays/lights came from the window, the rays should be positioned coming from the upper left side of the altar. I believed I was given a 'holy treat' as I decided to honor the Holy Family on their feast day."
Early morning can be your best prayer time. Note the wonders of the day best by planting yourself in God's Word.
So many wonders! Such endless ones!
