The photo we ran of the northern lights above an area fifty miles north of Jyväskylä, Finland, is eliciting a strong response-- and attempts at discernment. It was shot on September 23 and was the result of a recent solar storm. It appears to form a gargantuan angel. We initially saw it as comforting, and still do. That angels would manifest this week of the angels (and we do believe this may well be a manifestation) is a sign we're not alone. It seems to say to us that all is in God's plan. We have to admit that we may also have to view it in light of Fatima, where the northern lights in 1938 were an omen of war. Is that a sword in the "angel's" right "hand"? Or is it simply a staff -- like what the Archangel Raphael is sometimes pictured with (see below)?

Whatever the case, we should rejoice that God's plan appears to be unfolding. Something major is afoot. Evil is being broken down. Praise God for His angels -- whatever they may be up to. Come ye angels! Come Holy Spirit!
