MEDJUGORJE HAD WARNED: NOW AS NEVER, SATAN WANTS TO SHOW HIS SHAMEFUL FACE

It could not have been more blunt. In 1991, in the monthly message for September, the Virgin Mary had told Medjugorje seer Marija Pavlovic Lunetti that great vigilance was in order. "For now, as never before," she said, "Satan wants to show the world his shameful face."
And so it was, on September 11, that he did. We have carried links to those photos you have seen: of smoke forming demonic features. We don't show them on our front page. We won't grant him that glory. Suffice it to say that when the World Trade Center blew, the face of Satan came forth for all to see. He was bearded. He was sneering. He was happy, at least satisfied. There are dozens of images. They're in many photos of the fire. One was so awful I didn't even want to keep it in my files. They were various demonic forms. They are even seen in video. Most famous was a photo taken by Mark Philips and splashed across Associated Press.
It was a blatant fulfillment of the Virgin's warning as the countenance of evil formed in licks of fire; even President George Bush has noticed. He has been using the term "evil" on an all but constant basis, and there's every reason to think he means what he says, that he takes the Bible seriously.
And anyone who takes the New Testament seriously knows and is not afraid to mention the role of the devil.
"I know that many Americans at this time have real fears," said the President. "We've learned that America is not immune from attack. We've seen that evil is real."
And so we have. It is the devil's hour. There are manifestations all around. We are seeing people take ill and friends in crises and the disintegration of friendships as Satan nudges us into competitions and jealousies and selfishness.
This is one of Satan's defining traits: selfishness. And there is nothing more selfish than exalting one's own image -- an image formed in the agony of a fire that took 5,000 lives and caused real terror across America.
This is the devil's great suit: fear. He is the master of it. He drinks it like fine brandy. He wants us to fear him because when we fear him that means we have faith in him -- it means he has more power.
So it is with terrorists. Knowingly or unknowingly, they serve his purpose and it's there in their eyes if you want to see it in the flesh. Under the guise of religion -- and blinded by their fanaticism -- they serve him. He is a master of extremes and he is now seen as a dark glazed look that emanates from the eyes of those he has infested.
We're not supposed to go around pointing to the speck in others' eyes until we look at the lumber in our own and so at the same time that we realize our own evil (and America is filled with it), we can also note the presence of the demonic in the glazed robotic looks of poor young Muslims who believed they were serving Allah but whose crashed planes sent up the fire that formed the devil's image.
The devil is "unchained." He is roaming like a lion. Back many weeks ago when a seer from South America warned of coming events she mentioned a "roaring lion" who would cause the United States trouble and now we see with stunning accuracy that Bin Laden's first name -- "Osama" -- translates as "roaring lion."
This is doubly interesting because we know Scripture (1 Peter 5:8) warns that "your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour."
It was at Medjugorje at the beginning of this year that Marija had come out with another message mentioning that Satan was on the loose and now he is mentioned once again in the latest monthly message. In fact what the Virgin is saying is nearly exactly what she had said back in 1991 [click for messages]. That was just before the height of the Yugoslavian turmoil and now we see Christians and Muslims rising against each other again -- this time at a potentially vastly greater scale. We have warned that we could be approaching a "holy war" and let us issue this warning again.
We approach extremely interesting times. The key word is "intensification." What many who follow prophecy have been expecting (but what others discounted because it didn't happen precisely at the turn of the millennium) is now upon us. At times it will unfold slowly or even seem like it has stopped and at other times with the speed of lightning.
That's how Satan fell: as a bolt of lightning.
We're in a curve of purification and that means that the face of the devil must be purged. That means that he must be tossed from our lives. That means that we must not allow that shameful face.
For if he is not purged, if he is not defeated now -- as we will discuss soon -- his evil will precipitate an actual evil personage.
