More reports of grace from Father Slavko

From Children of Medjugorje:

Dear Children of Medjugorje,
Praised be Baby Jesus King of Love !
Happy New Year 2001 !

1. As a tribute to Father Slavko, I am quoting these lines written by
Denise, received yesterday from France.
"Dear Father Slavko, you prepared well the coming of the "new time", this
"Springtime" which the Gospa spoke about before your birth into Heaven, with your indefatigable zeal in leading us to prayer, fasting and conversion. You seemed to be tireless and no work could ever put you off. You would: pick up the trash on Krizevac, Podbrdo or at "Mother's Village", sing, play the organ, explain the messages or the Bible, hear confession or collect donations for the orphans, listen to those mentally ill, travel all over the world for the Gospa taking up your duties immediately upon return regardless of sleepless nights and jetlag, support the visionaries, write books, lead the rosaries, the Holy Hours and pray on the mountains in all weather, do the evening announcements in all languages, bless the objects, pray for the sick, lead retreats of fasting, help the ex-drug addicts, etc. You went through life with great strides. I hope that, from up there, you will continue to guide us at the school of Mary. In the school of love created by the Gospa, you were the faithful scribe and you wrote: "Pray with The Heart", "Adore my Son with Your Heart", "Celebrate Mass with Your Heart", "Follow Me with Your Heart", "Fast with Your Heart", etc*. It remained for you to write : Die with Your Heart! It is for us to write this book; we will tell how you gave your life, out of love for Jesus, for Mary and for each one of us. Thank you!"

2. Around Christmas nearly every pilgrim went to meditate by Father Slavko's grave and asked for his intercession. Some testified to great graces received. For example a man was tormented by a question he constantly posed to God without getting an answer. Praying near the grave, he received such an inner light that he understood what he had to do as if the answer was spelled out in his mind, and a great peace came over him.
A mother of a family who had been carrying negative judgments about Fr.
Slavko for many years came to ask for his forgiveness. She received a
totally unexpected sign of reconciliation: out of the blue, Vicka showed up by the tomb and, without knowing anything, she prayed for a moment with her. Then she spontaneously held her in her arms and tenderly placed her cheek against hers as a mother would do for a child who has been forgiven. This lady understood that Fr. Slavko had sent her this sign to show her that love had triumphed in this matter and that she could go in peace.
A young girl came to ask for Fr. Slavko's intercession for some weaknesses
of character and some addictions for which she felt humiliated. While she
was praying, an intense light lit up her spirit as if Fr. Slavko had replied with that personal manner of his, so familiar to us: "Nonsense! Trifles! These are useless distractions, focus on what is essential and walk straight forward to God!". This prayer truly freed her from her self-centeredness.

3. A short time before his death, Fr. Slavko had rescued Ivica, a man from
Bosnia seriously ill with tuberculosis, asthma, and the consequences of
alcoholism. Fr. Slavko knew that this man would die soon and he entrusted
him to the loving care of an Italian family living in Medjugorje so that he could die in peace with the support of prayers. Shortly after Fr. Slavko's death, Ivica told the whole family that he had seen him in a dream telling him: "Get ready! I am going to come and fetch you to go pray on Krizevac!" Ivica answered: "But I can't, I am sick!" Father Slavko insisted: "Get ready! I'll fetch you soon!" From that day Ivica started to pray with greater concentration, and aware of his bad health, he started considering his approaching death. A week later, he was taken to hospital where he gave his soul back to God.

4. Before a public apparition, Marija urged us once again to decide to pray more for Our Lady's intentions: "When you pray for my intentions, your heart opens up to me and I can then come and transform it".
