EVENTS WILL BE BORNE OUT IN PROPHECIES FROM APPROVED SITES AS WELL AS RECENT ONES

There's no doubt that the Church has a prophetic aspect and will figure into future events. It is always in the midst of turmoil, ministering as it does to the societies of men.

On one front, it's battling those who use public facilities to conduct a "black mass" in a place like Oklahoma City On another: there are issues like abortion, contraception, and same-sex marriage. In New York, a Cardinal has caused a great stir by agreeing to be grand marshal of a parade that will include gays waving a banner (on Saint Patrick's Day).

If the good Cardinal is emulating Jesus (Who indeed walked among the sinners, although especially heterosexual ones) we suggest that the Cardinal take it a step further and like Jesus cast spirits from those who are afflicted with such inclinations. If you are going to march with them, also minister exorcism to them. Heal. This is true love (where "tolerance" is really political correctness). Isn't that -- deliverance -- what the Lord did (and asked His disciples, all of us, to do)?

We look at the Church and the prophetic pulse and it brings up an old apparition in South America. That you can review via a video linked at the end of this article. It also stirs memory of the apparition of Mary at LaSalette in France, the anniversary of which was celebrated last week (9/19/14).

The Church was in crisis then, too. As in our own day, there was the issue of those who had fallen away.

Listen to it closely:

"Come near, my children, be not afraid; I am here to tell you great news. If my people will not submit, I shall be forced to let fall the arm of my Son. It is so strong, so heavy, that I can no longer withhold it. For how long a time do I suffer for you! If I would not have my Son abandon you, I am compelled to pray to him without ceasing; and as to you, you take not heed of it. However much you pray, however much you do, you will never recompense the pains I have taken for you.

"Six days I have given you to labor, the seventh I had kept for myself; and they will not give it to me. It is this which makes the arm of my Son so heavy. Those who drive the carts cannot swear without introducing the Name of my Son. These are the two things which makes the arm of my Son so heavy..."

Our Blessed Mother -- again, in a Church-approbated appearance -- was saying a chastisement was going to arrive because people were not honoring Sunday (look at today, where soccer or football or shopping has replaced Mass) and were using the Name "Jesus" in vain (in our time, we hear this not just in personal conversation but even on national TV, in just about any movie, and on radio, not to mention countless blogs on the internet).

"There are none who go to Mass except a few aged women. The rest work on Sunday all summer; then in the winter, when they know not what to do, they go to Mass only to mock at religion. During Lent, they go to the meat-market like dogs."

That's one aspect -- and it certainly dismisses the argument, made by some, even priests, that God does not punish.

But there is also this:

"If the harvest is spoiled, it is all on your account. I gave you warning last year with the potatoes (pommes de terre) but you did not heed it. On the contrary, when you found the potatoes spoiled, you swore, you took the name of my Son in vain. They will continue to decay, so that by Christmas there will be none left." The Blessed Mother went on to warn that "there will come a great famine. Before the famine comes, the children under seven years of age will be seized with trembling and will die in the hands of those who hold them; the others will do penance by the famine. The walnuts will become bad, and the grapes will rot."

Note that just months after this apparition this region of north-central France as well as Ireland across the Channel watched in horror as potato crops began to fail, leading to the Great Irish Potato Famine which killed hundreds of thousands (and also led to illness among the young).

It was a true prophecy, and it should be sobering in our time when droughts are erupting with also strange diseases and even full-blown epidemics such as Ebola. In Colombia, children are convulsing (trembling), according to a report last week. "Mysterious" illnesses were also reported in California and Venezuela.

One recalls the mystic Maria Esperanza of Caracas saying cryptically, when asked about future events, "It will start here."

There is no evidence she was alluding to anything current (she did say a new disease linked to sexual contact would explode), but we get the idea: what is happening all around us, in every realm (the "unraveling, as a New York Times columnist put it last week), is not happenstance and goes hand in hand with the moral unraveling of our time.

Often, God first chastises what is closest to Him, and of course the Roman Catholic Church was brought to great crisis due to the eruption of sexual-abuse scandals (which are not over; a Cardinal is currently under house arrest by the Vatican).

At LaSalette, in a part of the apparition that was not formally approved by the Church, the seer Melanie Calvat said the Blessed Mother complained about certain "bad priests" who had become "a cesspool of impurity." She also said occultic elements had been introduced into convents (see: modern retreat houses). The result, Mary allegedly said, would be not just famine and disease but fire and water that would "convulse" the earth.

Predictions based on private revelation and involving society as well as the Church were also given to Hungarian mystic Elizabeth Kindelmann, who received the "flame of love" prophecies that proceeded into the 1980s (available below). "The great storm is coming and it will carry away indifferent souls who are consumed by laziness," the Lord told her (this was 1963). "The great danger will erupt when I take away My Hand of protection. Warn everyone, especially the priests, so they are shaken out of their indifference."

These are revelations that received an imprimatur from Archbishop Charles Chaput of Philadelphia, among others. A more recent mystic has also spoken about the coming "great storm." One of the mystic's confrontations with the devil came on March 17, of all days.

In the end, darkness would be defeated -- with fire.

We keep hearing this theme of "fire." It's why we named a recent book of ours on prophecy Fear of Fire. Fire is also a key part of prophecies from the Church-approved site of Kibeho, Rwanda -- where seers were shown entire villages abandoned, and where also collapsing mountains and rocks rising and sparking against one another were also shown. Meanwhile, let us recall that it was fire that composed a chastisement predicted during the only approved apparition in America (near Green Bay).

And so events unfold. We are not speaking about the end of the world; we are speaking about the end of an era.

Some expected the apocalypse by now, but God, in His Mercy, is gradual. He warns and warns and warns. But can you sense a denouement?

Said another alleged prognostication we have watched keenly: "In this time, expect the error of premature expectation, but not [error in] the truth of the expectation itself. For these times, you have the Rosary, and even more so, praise. In union with God comes all protection, as the dark spirits are now allowed to materialize in full due to the pretense and aspirations of man. Not until the initial event will the curtain be drawn that reveals the entirety of the plan, and even then, it will be parted only slowly, in the woes of purification."

[Said Mother Angelica about Sent To Earth: "If you didn't buy his book, you're missing it. It's not a scary book; it's a very good book. If you haven't bought it I would buy it. I think it's a great book, just terrific. I think it's important for my future and your future. I want you to read Sent To Earth. Why? It's logical, it's truthful, it's sensible, and it's God's way of saying, 'Let's be ready.'"]
