AS FORESEEN, SATAN SHOWS HIS 'SHAMEFUL FACE,' THIS TIME IN A TELEVISED MUSIC AWARDS PRESENTATION

Back some years ago the Blessed Mother reputedly said at a site of apparitions that "now, as never before, Satan wants to show the world his shameful face" to the world. That was September of 1991. He certainly has registered major successes -- certainly has shown his face -- since. From what we have read (and glanced at on Youtube), it was on full display Sunday night (1/26/14) during the televised music awards known as the Grammys -- and from what we can gather, it is clearly serious, bolder and more shameful than ever. A medley of occult rituals and pornography -- soft-core, but pornography nonetheless -- was on exhibit in front of our children and those who for reasons their own watch such things. There was the one seasoned and "mega-famous" singer from Michigan whose name evokes the Blessed Mother but whose songs and dance and appearances evokes straight-up witchery. She came dressed in a motif that in its blackness was hard to mistake (and also, in keeping with the times: androgynous), and there was a much younger and equally bewitched singer whose costume itself blasphemed (skimpy but for a lit cross that covered her breasts). She came out of a crystal ball in a torrent of smoke and performing something called "Dark Horse" danced with brooms as ghastly figures cavorted around, her finale, tellingly, in a circle of flames. Meanwhile the mistress of ceremonies "married" thirty-four mainly same-sex couples while yet another "superstar," barest clad of all, basically in undergarments (if that), danced lasciviously with her "rapper" husband (who has been known to disdain Jesus and espouse a slogan straight from an infamous twentieth century satanist). From what we can tell, the rap is lust. The rap is occult. The rap is hate. Last year, at the Super Bowl, her nearly equally obscene performance coincided with the electricity going out (there in humble Mercedes Stadium, as a sign that went unheeded). You'll excuse the photo to the left. We usually avoid anything like it. Probably many of these performers don't even know what they're rubbing up against nor from whence their fame has been generated. Perhaps they don't realize where the two-finger salute they so often use, the horns, comes from. Perhaps they don't understand the triangles they so often form (saluting "illuminati"). Prayer is needed for the poor deceived young and some not so young (at least two famed ones, at this gathering, in fact, in their seventies). It is baffling. It shows how well the devil blinds, though not all: college football star, A. J. McCarron, of Alabama, "tweeted" during the Grammys that the "really demonic" performances showed "there is a lot of evil in the world." God bless young people like him. And a Gospel singer named Natalie Grant, who "walked out of the Grammys after witnessing a series of performances that even the mainstream entertainment media admitted were occult in nature," notes a website. The Grammys -- and Oscars, and half-time shows, and so many televised or YouTubed or iTuned displays -- have become all but an outright rite of occult/saturnalia. How intimidated so many good people are -- not to complain, not to send letters or e-mails or whatever to TV executives and especially advertisers. Do we really want to take this sitting down? One seeks comfort on a conservative news website only to scroll down and see women in skimpy bikinis.  It is virtually inescapable. Good is evil and evil is good on each side of the political spectrum. One even sees lascivious margin ads on some Catholic websites (provided by Google, which keep changing and rearranging them during the day). You do your best not to be sullied and yet find it an endless challenge. "Today in a special way I invite you all to prayer and renunciation," was that full message in 1991. "For now, as never before, Satan wants to show the world his shameful face by which he wants to seduce as many people as possible onto the way of death and sin. Therefore, dear children, help my Immaculate Heart to triumph in the sinful world. I beseech all of you to offer prayers and sacrifices for my intentions so I can present them to God for what is most necessary. Forget your desires, dear children, and pray for what God desires, and not for what you desire."

The face we want to see is His. The face we want to see is that of the Blessed Mother.

"Show me your face, let me hear your voice; for your voice is sweet and your face is beautiful" (Song 2:14).

[Prayer to the Face of the Shroud: "O Jesus, Who in Thy bitter passion didst become 'the most abject of men, a man of sorrows,' I venerate Thy sacred Face whereon there once did shine the beauty and sweetness of the Godhead; but now It has become as it were the face of a leper! Nevertheless, under those disfigured features I recognize Thine infinite Love, and I am consumed with desire to love Thee and make Thee loved by all men. The tears which well up so abundantly in Thy sacred Eyes appear to me as so many precious pearls that I love to gather up, in order to purchase the souls of poor sinners by means of their infinite value. O Jesus Whose adorable Face ravishes my heart, I implore Thee to fix deep within me Thy Divine image and to set me on fire with Thy love, that so I may be found worthy to come to the contemplation of Thy glorious Face in Heaven. Amen."]
