MOTHER ANGELICA REMAINS SEMI-CONSCIOUS IN STABLE CONDITION

We are praying and waiting to hear the prognosis for Mother Angelica, the inspiring nun on EWTN-TV. According to a source at the monastery, her condition remains what it has been the last two days and she is "semi-conscious" and in "stable" condition in intensive care at a Birmingham hospital. According to EWTN's public statement, "doctors treating her have said her condition shows slight improvement since her surgery on Christmas Eve to remove a blood clot in her brain that had caused her to suffer her second stroke since September. Doctors said she is stable, her vital signs are improving but she remains in intensive care. Since Monday, thousands of well wishers have sent email and telephone messages to EWTN offering prayers for Mother's speedy recovery."
