Life Missions, Family Healings, by Michael H. Brown, a booklet compilation, overview and close look at the growing claims that family lines can be plagued by problems caused by spirits that come down through the generations -- leading to illness, distress of many sorts, and inexplicable family tendencies! Yet something that a number of priests -- citing Scripture -- claim can be cast away through recognition of the problems, partaking of the sacraments, and diligent prayer. Included is an extremely powerful prayer of deliverance, a family healing prayer, and the blessing for use of sacramental salt! May your family be blessed by it! click here (below for paper version; here for Kindle  or Nook)

While some witnesses, in those cases of near-death episodes, can veer into strange dogmas (including occult concepts like reincarnation, which must be strictly avoided, our faith tells us), we can take from most such experiences what is worthwhile and prepare ourselves with the sacraments.

Forge forth. Press yourself into conformance with Christ. Watch even what you think. Follow His rigors of discipline. Watch bodily desires. Even be slim like Him.

But expect the best. Watch what you expect. Grow into the best of expectations.

Turn a season of blessings into a lifetime of them, and then the afterlife of blessings beyond what we can fathom because it is more different even than the farthest planet.

Indeed, after the tunnel – or instead of the tunnel – some find themselves journeying through clusters of stars, on the way to a distant light.

As I was thinking about my state and condition a thought came to me that was more like a question posed by my mind,” a witness testified to a group of researchers in 2006. “It was: ‘What have you ever done in your life that was totally selfless?’ A deed or action done that didn’t have a selfish motive. As I thought about that question I realized that I had always acted to please myself. I had never said a kind word or done a kind deed that wasn’t motivated by personal gain. As I fully comprehended how selfish I was I felt a deep regret even remorse that I hadn’t ever done one good or kind or selfless thing.”

“I saw a multitude of opportunities to help people and be loving and kind, but in most instances focused solely on myself,” said that witness saw soul zipping in the passageway.

“We descended together from God's light into a universe of bright stars,” said another, after the tunnel experience. “We were again in the deepest void of space, but now I felt comfortable in this environment as well as in my spirit body, and I felt at home in this celestial location. As [another soul] and I continued to descend, I was startled by the magnificent ethereal structure directly below us. The heavenly structure resembled an amphitheater similar to those found in ancient civilizations. This amphitheater was made of a brilliant, crystal-like substance that radiated multi-colored waves of energy throughout its form. The amphitheater was suspended in the void of space in the same fashion that a space station might hover in space. The amphitheater was similar in size to a sports stadium and conveyed a great majesty.”

It was then that he went through the review of his life.

That was strikingly similar to a Mormon who when she died entered “a room like an amphitheatre; it was slanted down. At the front of the room there was something that looked to be a table or an altar. As I looked at the front of the room I saw three men dressed in white.

“While I was enveloped by the Light, I knew the answers to the questions that had formulated in my mind,” is another testimony. “I knew the answers to the questions that had formulated in my mind. Secrets from the beginning of time to infinity were clear to me. Myriads of things were understandable. I understood, for example, that when I left earth I would leave with whatever spiritual growth I had attained there, and I would take that spiritual growth with me into this new world.”

“While I was in the Savior’s Presence, I was told and shown many things besides my life review,” adds still one more – from the many books on this subject. “Enormous amounts of information flowed into my mind – information that I have since forgotten. When I first arrived in the room, for example, He asked me if I had any questions. I did, and the moment the question was formulated, the answer was in my mind. Pure knowledge seemed to pour into me from Him.”

This is an intriguing aspect: the forgetfulness. "One-third of the experiences included people who said that unusual knowledge was theirs while they were undergoing the near-death experience, but after the experience they forgot most of what they had known, [although] they still remembered the remarkable feeling they got when the mere hint of a question resulted in a fountain of information flowing into them,” wrote a researcher.

Those who glimpse eternity say that they were shown and told things they are not allowed to recall – that a veil was placed on their memories, as we have previously reported. In mythology, this was known as the “river of forgetfulness.” Often this has to do with their life missions. On the other side, they are shown what God planned for them to accomplish and yet when they return there is only the essence. Details are scarce. Such is very common. God has spoken to their spirits. The information is not exactly accessible. But there is a sense of direction. From the eternal has come a “bottom-line” in the feeling for what they must do and this bottom line, which is engraved in every subconscious, is accessible if we pray for it.
