The Harbinger, by Jonathan Cahn, the huge bestseller with a fascinating claim (for discerning) that an obscure passage in Isaiah foresaw events from 9/11 to the economic collapse, written in novel fashion; 'though it sounds like the plot of a Hollywood thriller -- it's real.' The claim: that there is an ancient mystery that holds the secret of America's future, that ancient harbingers are now manifesting, and that God is sending prophetic messages of what is to come. Nine omens of end times.  click here

EVENTS AND TRENDS IN THE WORLD HEIGHTEN CONCERNS ABOUT GLOBAL GOVERNANCE AND PERSONAL CONTROL

As trends pick up pace in the world, it is becoming clear that one of these is what so many have long fretted about: global governance.

There are any number of troubling developments.

There is the "big brother" aspect: drones seem everywhere, and as predicted, the West is on the verge of a cashless society, which potentially could allow a stranglehold on individual freedoms, including greater power over the common person by global banks. (See: Abolition of cash, capital controls?)

There are the judicial systems: these seem to be coalescing into an international entity; the U.S. federal courts are now regularly indicting and trying foreigners -- bring them here for prosecution, under international laws [see this from yesterday's, 6/9/15, New York Times).

There is the internet: slowly but surely, the U.S. appears to be handing cyberspace over to global oversight.

There are regular military exercises now in urban areas, practicing how to control an unruly populace; the government obviously expects future upheaval.

There are trends toward socialism, especially in aspects of the health-care regulations (though tax rates on the rich are still vastly lower than in the Sixties).

There is constant movement in the direction of implanting microchips. This is mainly for medical reasons but some fear could be used for tracking individuals and in fact news stories recently have reported that the FBI uses small planes to pick up radio signals from private homes in various cities, when looking for suspects or monitoring criminal activity. Satellite technology is now awesome, as is the ability of the National Security Agency to monitor many things we say and do.

Red-light cameras are in abundance, as now are cameras detecting those speeding on highways -- developments with beneficial aspects but also worrisome features when it comes to personal liberty. There is now "Obamatrade," which in a way opens the door to a merging of many international economies. There are global companies such as Google and Yahoo, developing technology that could be dangerous in the wrong hands. Google already has taken photographs of the majority of homes in the U.S. for us on GPS devices (showing the house upon arrival) and with Google Earth allows anyone to zoom into any part of the world, and virtually onto rooftops. The list goes on. All of this is in the context of the annual summer flurry of activity involving global elite, who are meeting now at a Bilderberg session (bankers, government officials, diplomats, media types, Wall Street powerhouses, military leaders at the Interalpen-Hotel Tyrol in the Austrian Alps, engulfed as always in near-total secrecy as they discuss the future -- including a cashless society (which reportedly is on this year's agenda). See here: "World Elite gather to discuss world's future. Soon will be the meeting at even more mysterious Bohemian Grove in northern California, where movers-and-shakers likewise convene to discuss what the future should hold (it was here that the Manhattan Project was first discussed, under the gaze of a large iconic owl).
